We find what's actually wrong before we replace anything
Our story
The mechanic people call back
Chavez Auto Mobile Repair is a Salinas shop built on one idea: tell people the truth about their car. Customers come to us confused about a noise, a warning light, or a car that simply won't start. They leave knowing exactly what was wrong and what we did about it. We troubleshoot before we replace. More than one customer has arrived certain of the problem, only for the real fault to be somewhere else entirely. Finding it is the job, and it's why brake work, diagnostics, and same-day repairs get done right the first time. We work on daily drivers and on cars that mean something, including a 1956 Chevy that hadn't run in months and needed custom fuel lines to breathe again. All 21 reviews on our Google profile are five-star, and we intend to keep it that way.
- Same-day service when you need it
- Everything explained clearly, no confusion
- Classic and vintage car work welcome
What customers say
“I had a great experience! He fixed my brakes really fast, which I appreciated a lot. What stood out the most was how clearly he explained everything to me, I didn't feel confused at all. Super helpful, professional, and efficient. Definitely a 5-star service!”
“I needed help with my late father's classic 56 Chevy because it wasn't running, and I am no mechanic. What I thought was wrong with the car, was not what was wrong, and thankfully Luis troubleshot the car and pinpointed the problem like a true professional. My dad's car is up and running after months of sitting. I am so glad I found Luis, he is awesome and will be the mechanic of this car as long as I own it.”
“My car was acting up and I had no idea what was wrong. My car got fixed up right on the spot, and the price was super fair! He was really professional and explained everything clearly. Highly recommend”
